The East Broad Top RR built a number of steel
boxcars for misc. goods. This one stands just to the northwest of the Timber Transfer. After the
Timber Transfer came into use for re-trucking standard-gauge freight cars, the EBT's own
narrow-gauge boxcars were thereafter only occasionally used, as goods destined for delivery on the EBT from the
outside would would no longer have to be unloaded at the Mt. Union transfer platform into
narrow-gauge boxcars for delivery.

Several of the EBT's steel boxcars were
modified to hold water. One has been cut down into an open-side tourist passenger car.
